My first experience with activated charcoal powder is when I was younger and my sister would get very bad tummy aches.  My mother would give her some charcoal powder mixed in with some water and get relief in less than 30 minutes.  About one year ago I started to research charcoal powder’s beauty benefits. The most important benefit I found through my research is that charcoal powder is one of the best detoxifying ingredients without drying your skin.

Activated bamboo charcoal is made by burning pieces of bamboo at temperatures over 800 degrees and then it is refined completely.  Activated bamboo charcoal powder absorbs odors, can purify water, and has beauty benefits too. Almost all water purifiers for example Brita use charcoal to purify the water.  Activated bamboo charcoal absorbs into the pores on your skin & draws out the dirt and oils that are blocking the pores.  Regular use can help to eliminate acne, bumps, and blackheads.

My first creation with activated charcoal was a body soap called Twilight Detox which was an instant hit.  Young people to active people with body acne have had great success with this soap and the Twilight Detox Face & Body Scrub together.

The great thing about activated charcoal powder is it does not dry out your skin like a lot of other purifying ingredients for example clays.  It maintains the moisture levels while deep cleaning your pores.  It also helps to fight odors which is great for the active person.

It was only supposed to be out for a few months but I decided to continue to make the Twilight Detox based on their success.Customers loved the smell so much from the Twilight Detox line that I created a perfume oil called Twilight Lust Perfume Oil.  The scent is a combination of amber, vanilla, ylang ylang, frankincense, and azalea.

Green eyeshadow can be used for brown, hazel, green, and even green blue eyes like mine.

I like pairing green eyeshadows with a light color first and then go in and accent with a darker green for a full effect. Just remember that my mineral eyeshadows are completely natural and require using the SWAK lip/eye primer first to moisturize, protect, and allow the color to stay on longer.

My favorite green mineral eyeshadow combinations are:

inner eye: Medusa outer eye: Calypso
inner eye: Earth outer eye: Pluto
inner eye: Garden Party outer eye: Pisces
inner eye: Poseidon outer eye: Pisces

You can even do a Green Smokey Eye:
Start on the outer corner of your eyelid using a nose tip brush for more precision and work Calypso mineral eyeshadow from the bottom of the eyelid to right under the bone on the upper eyelid. Work the color about halfway into the eyelid.

Then apply Pluto mineral eyeshadow on the middle of the eyelid working outward to the outer lid. Then take a blending brush and brush outward toward the lid and blend the crease.

Then apply Medusa mineral eyeshadow to the inner corner of the eye.

Spray or wet an angled brush with water and slightly dip it into the Sagittarius mineral eyeshadow and press the brush onto the cap of the eyeshadow to make sure the color is dispersed and the brush is wet enough. Starting from the outer corner of the eye with the pointed side facing outward draw a line right on the base of the eyelid.

Then go to the inner most part of the base of eyelid with pointed tip facing inward and draw a line until it meets the other line.

For a bolder look you can go over it again.

If you would like an even more dramatic smokey eye spray your brush with water before applying the eyeshadows which will give you a more precise and deeper color on the eyelid.

XOXO,
Amanda
